Maturo is best recognized for his roles as Auggie Matthews on the Disney Channel sitcom Girl Meets World and as the voice of Puck McSnorter in Mickey and the Roadster Racers. Maturo’s acting career began at the age of four when he was cast as ‘Issac’ in the one-hour CBS drama pilot Applebaum, starring Rachelle Lefevre and Rhys Coiro. Christopher Columbus directed and produced the project. He is presently a series regular on Disney’s Girl Meets World as ‘Auggie Mathews.’

August Maturo Career

Maturo was featured as Auggie Matthews, the younger brother of the title character, in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World from 2014 to 2017. Maturo starred as Daniel in The Nun, a spin-off/prequel to 2016’s The Conjuring 2. He flew to Budapest in 2019 to film Shepherd: The Story of a Jewish Dog.

During World War II, Maturo is separated from his family and reunited with his German Shepherd, who has been adopted by a Nazi SS officer at a war camp where Joshua has been detained. The film is based on Asher Kravitz’s successful Israeli novel “The Jewish Dog” and will have a limited festival distribution beginning in 2021.

Maturo finished the feature film Slapface and the short film Boys in 2020. Maturo plays Lucas, the lead in Slapface, the feature-length adaptation of Jeremiah Kipp’s 2017 short film of the same name, and won Best Actor at Grimmfest 2021 for his portrayal in the film. Boys, featuring Maturo, premiered at LA Shorts and has since screened at numerous more festivals in 2021.
