Chance garnered recognition in 2022 for her interview with retired educator Pearlie Harris for Oprah Winfrey’s latest book, “Lift Every Voice.” She previously worked as a weekend evening anchor and reporter at KTBC FOX 7 Austin in Austin, Texas.

During her tenure in Austin, she received two nominations for the 22nd Austin Under 40 Awards. In 2019, she was recognized by the Austin Black Business Journal for her efforts in Black Austin. Before Austin, she worked for the FOX affiliate in Augusta, Georgia, where she helped launch “FOX 54 News Now.” Augusta Magazine readers nominated her as the “best  Female News Anchor” in 2017.

Before moving to Georgia, Chance worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WACHFOX in Columbia, South Carolina. She assisted in the launch of the morning traffic beat, “Traffic WACH.” In 2015, she received an RTDNAC Award for “Best Light Feature.” She has covered some of the state’s most important news issues, such as South Carolina’s historic flooding in 2015, Emmanuel 9 in Charleston, and the removal of the Confederate flag.
