Evan Thomas American entrepreneur is the co-founder and CEO of Snap Inc. In 2015, Spiegel was the world’s youngest billionaire. His personal net worth as of March 2023 was $2.7 billion, according to Forbes.

With former fraternity member Bobby Murphy, Spiegel came up with the concept for the well-known photo and video-sharing app while they were both students at Stanford University.

The software, which was first introduced in 2011 under the name Picaboo, gained popularity the following winter, and when Snap went public in early 2017, its co-founders became billionaires.

At the age of 25, Snap CEO Evan Spiegel amassed a billion-dollar fortune. Approximately 397 million people use Snapchat daily to transmit fleeting images and videos. In 2011, Spiegel and Bobby Murphy, a fraternity brother from Stanford University, founded the business.

Together, Murphy and Spiegel own around 25% of Snap, but they also hold voting shares that give them power over the board. Six years after leaving Stanford to found Snapchat, he earned a B.S. in product design there in 2018.

Evan Spiegel, the creator of Snapchat, is the owner of a $200 million superyacht that has been photographed in Auckland. The Bliss arrived in August and has been moored at Silo Marina on Wynyard Wharf for over a week.

Spiegel, whose estimated net worth is $2.7 billion, is one of the youngest yacht lovers to have ever ordered a luxury vessel from the renowned Feadship shipyard. The yacht has a crew of about 20 people and enough for 14 passengers.

Superyachtfan.com estimates that it will cost about $20 million a year to maintain. Its existence in Auckland is not indicated by GPS maritime monitoring data, but it was noticed in August by interested yachties on social media.

It is unknown what would have brought Spiegel and his wife Miranda Kerr to the City of Sails or whether they were on board the ship. A Gulfstream G650ER, Spiegel’s private aircraft, was also seen landing at Auckland Airport in April of last year.

Spiegel suggested an app with transient messaging as a project for a product design class in April 2011. Ultimately that year, Spiegel collaborated with his Stanford classmates Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown to introduce a “Picaboo” prototype of this idea, which they ultimately rebranded as Snapchat.

The popularity of the app expanded rapidly, and in 2012, just before finishing his degree at Stanford, Spiegel moved on to focus exclusively on Snapchat. Spiegel’s Snapchat app had 1 million daily active users by the end of 2012.[8] Later on, he finished the last few courses needed to graduate in 2018.

At the TechCrunch Disrupt conference, Spiegel spoke. Over the course of the following 15 years, Spiegel and Murphy promised to contribute upwards of 13,000,000 shares of Class A common stock to a non-profit organization that supports the arts, education, and young people. They established the Snap Foundation, a nonprofit with the intention of assisting in these areas.

Their goal is to “create pathways for underrepresented youths in Los Angeles to the creative economy.
