Chris Zelman is an American meteorologist who has worked for WALB as a morning and lunchtime meteorologist since April 2007. He formerly served as a fill-in meteorologist at WPTV NewsChannel 5 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Throughout his career, he has broadcasted six hurricanes, including Danny, Georges, Earl, Katrina, Wilma, and Irma, as well as winter storms, a dust storm in California’s Central Valley, and two devastating tornado outbreaks, one on Valentine’s Day 2000 and another on January 22, 2017. He began his television career by working at WJHG in Panama City before moving to Tallahassee.

Before moving to Memphis, Zelman spent a few years working in California. He recently freelanced for WPTV, an NBC station in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has also served as a volunteer with the SPCA, the American Red Cross, and the Salvation Army.
