She has been a news anchor and reporter since the late 1990s, traveling all over the country. She began her reporting profession after graduating from college. She relocated to Los Angeles, where KCBS recruited her as a news assistant. She had her first on-air gig in Roswell, New Mexico, working as a “one-man band.” She served as an anchor and reporter in El Paso, Texas; Orlando, Florida; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Throughout her career, she has televised some of the largest events to garner national attention. For example, she presented news from the Fort Bliss Army garrison following the capture of the 507th Maintenance Company in Nasiriyah, Iraq, during the 2003 invasion.

During her time at FOX O&O in Orlando, she helped broadcast the infamous Casey Anthony case. She also transmitted several difficult weather assignments, such as tropical storms, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Her favorite task, though, is to broadcast space shuttle launches from the Kennedy Space Center.
