Morgan Romero is an American journalist who has worked as a co-anchor at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., as well as an investigative reporter Since returning to KTVB in October 2021. She formerly worked for KGW in Portland, Oregon, as an anchor and multi-skilled journalist for two and a half years.

Romero is a co-anchor at KTVB’s 6 and 10 p.m. shows, as well as an investigative reporter. This marks her second stint at the station. Her career at KTVB began in November 2015, when she joined the station as a nightside reporter and fill-in anchor. In 2016, she won two Idaho Press Club honors for in-depth reports on education and consumer reporting.

She spent two and a half years as an anchor and multi-skilled journalist at KGW in Portland, Oregon, before returning to KTVB in October 2021. She also anchored KGW’s The Good Stuff and the 4 p.m. broadcast. While there, she handled enterprise reporting and worked various shifts at the station, including stepping in as required.

Romero experienced history in Oregon, where she reported the state’s biggest stories, including social upheaval and protests, massive wildfires, ice storms, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the homeless crisis. She also contributed to an Edward R. Murrow Award-winning breaking news report on a gunman at a local high school.

Throughout her career, she has covered elections, politics, human interest stories, and watchdog investigations. She has received numerous Idaho Press Club accolades, an Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities award, and the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs Reporter of the Year. She received an Emmy nomination and contributed to Emmy-winning newscasts.
