Then he went to WQAM Radio and became the host of a sports talk show that aired for more than 18 years. He then worked for CBS Radio in Vancouver, Canada, as a play-by-play commentator for Olympic hockey games for almost a year. In 2013, he co-hosted a morning show at Heart Media for two years and three months.

Steven then went on to work as a play-by-play broadcaster and host for Westwood One, where he is still employed.
