Dillon Bell, a sophomore wide receiver for the University of Georgia football team, is listed as a wide receiver.He was born in Houston, TX.  Has appeared in all 15 games in 2022 starting five of them. He had 20 receptions for 180 yards and three touchdowns saw second-half play as a reserve wide receiver in the season-opening win over No. 11 Oregon caught three passes for 22 yards, including a 3-yard touchdown catch, in a win over Samford, and had one catch for nine yards in win over Kent State.

Given how close the two were, Mitchell’s choice to transfer was difficult for Bell. Mitchell returned to Texas in part to be closer to his daughter. Mitchell caught three catches for 26 yards and a touchdown in Texas’ Week 1 victory over Rice. Bell never contemplated joining Mitchell at Texas, but he remains optimistic about his friend’s chances with the Longhorns.

It meant a lot to me. That was my best friend during my freshman year here. I was shocked. It was heartbreaking. I spent a long time with him before he went. We were just talking and cutting it up. I’m confident he’ll perform well at Texas.”
